Now let’s get those infra-red football unis ready for Clemson.

As he has made a habit of doing in recent years, Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich made a major announcement at the annual 50-Yard Line Dinner Thursday evening.

According to Louisville emcee Joey Wagner, Jurich told the crowd in attendance that Louisville has signed a new deal with Adidas that will pay the school $160 million over 10 years.

An official announcement is expected to be made Friday.

If true, Louisville’s $16 million per year apparel deal will be the fourth-richest in the country. Adidas-defector UCLA now makes $18.7 million per year from Under Armour, while Ohio State and Texas both get $16.7 million per year from Nike.

U of L will be the highest-paid Adidas school by a wide margin.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

Now start giving us crazy stuff more regularly.
