Clemson announced late last night that they have a new starting quarterback. If you watched the FSU game, it is likely no surprise that Deshaun Watson is now the starter. Watson threw for 266 yards on 19-28 passing against the Seminoles.
"He just played great, took care of the ball, and made some big plays so really proud of him," Swinney said. "You never know until you see them in that situation. We know we have something special in that young man and to see him go and execute like he did was fun to be a part of."
Well that didn't take very long. After a post-game press conference where Clemson coach Dabo Swinney hemmed and hawed about who his starting QB would be, Clemson announced late Sunday night that Deshaun Watson will be the starting QB for the Tigers' game this weekend against UNC.
