Today's play-in matchup features the 9 seed Duke Blue Devils 2009-10 versus the 24 seed Boston College Eagles 2005-06.  Duke is led by a trio of guards Jon Scheyer, Nolan Smith, and Kyle Singler while BC is led by bullish forward Craig Smith and the versatile small forward Jared Dudley.

The winner of the best of 5 series will get the top seeded Duke 1990-91 team next.

Duke 09-10: 71
Boston College 05-06: 64

Duke leads the series 1-0

Notes: Nolan Smith and Kyle Singler finished with 23 points a piece and Jon Scheyer added 16 points despite a poor shooting night to lead Duke 09-10 to the win.  Boston College held Duke to just 41% shooting, but couldn't keep the Blue Devils off of the offensive boards where Duke collected 12 offensive rebounds.  BC was led by Jared Dudley's 19 points on 6-9 shooting from the floor.

Duke leads the series 2-0

Notes: Duke made 10 of 20 three point attempts and the game was never close.  The 3 pointers came from six different Blue Devils including 1 each from both Mason and Miles Plumlee.  Jon Scheyer led a balanced scoring attack 24 points and 5 assists, while Miles Plumlee added an unexpected scoring punch with 15 points and 4 rebounds.

Duke wins the series 3-0

Notes: Despite a poor shooting game from the Blue Devils, their 3 point shooting advantage and offensive rebounding led Duke to the sweep.  Nolan Smith led Duke with 20 points while Jon Scheyer added 19 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds.  Craig Smith led BC in the losing effort with 15 points and 6 rebounds.
