Game 1
Duke 98-99: 93

Duke leads the series 1-0
Notes: Duke made 8 three pointers and held Maryland to 37% shooting from the field as Duke trounced the Terps in Game 1. The Blue Devils had a balanced attack led by Will Avery's 18 points on 6-9 shooting. Elton Brand finished with a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds while Corey Maggette (14 pts), Trajan Langdon (14 pts), and Shane Battier (12 pts) also finished in double-figures. Lonny Baxter led Maryland in scoring with 16 points and 8 rebounds.
Game 2
Maryland 00-01: 93
Duke 98-99: 88
The series is tied 1-1
Notes: Maryland bounced back in game 2 to even the series thanks in large part to Lonny Baxter. Baxter finished with 31 points and 17 rebounds on 9 of 14 shooting. Juan Dixon added 20 points and Terence Morris finished with 14 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds to provide some scoring balance. For Duke, Trajan Langdon led the way with 17 points while Elton Brand added another double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Game 3
Duke 98-99: 72
Maryland 00-01: 66
Duke leads the series 2-1
Notes: Game 3 featured a slower tempo and more physical play than the first 2 games, but Duke moved into the series lead. The Blue Devils poor free throw shooting (12-24) nearly cost them the game, but the duo of Elton Brand (21 pts, 9 rebs) and Trajan Langdon (19 pts) did just enough to push Duke to the win. Five Maryland Terrapins finished in double-figures led by Juan Dixon's 15 points. Terence Morris finished with a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds as well.
Game 4
Duke 98-99: 87
Maryland 00-01: 73
Duke wins the series 3-1
Notes: Trajan Langdon and Chris Carrawell led Duke with 17 points a piece to push Duke to the series win. Carrawell, who hadn't scored more than 7 points in any of the 3 previous games, stepped up due to Shane Battier's foul trouble and added an unexpected scoring punch. Juan Dixon led Maryland with 13 points while 3 others finished in double-figures.
Tomorrow our matchup features Georgia Tech 03-04 against Virginia 83-84. Georgia Tech is led by BJ Elder and Jarrett Jack while Virginia is led by Othell Wilson and Rick Carlisle.
