Today, we continue our Game Sim predictions with the South and East regions. Yesterday, I posted the Game Sim predictions for the Midwest and West regions. On Wednesday, I'll post the final four results. Make sure to check the #GameSimKnowsAll hashtag on twitter for all Game Sim related information.
South
Notes
- The only first round upset picked in this one was Minnesota over UCLA.
- Game Sim loves VCU, it has all year for that matter, but the run ends with a loss to Kansas. That said, it was a close matchup and could ultimately go either way.
- Other close games included San Diego State/Oklahoma and South Dakota State gave Michigan a much closer game than I expected.
- UNC opens with a fairly easy win over Villanova, but isn't able to challenge Kansas.
- Check out tomorrow's final four post to see who wins the matchup between Kansas and Florida.
East Region
Notes
- The round 1 winner that earned the chance to face Indiana was Long Island.
- More chalk in the first round, but watch Bucknell/Butler as this one was very close.
- NC State wins a close one over Temple but just doesn't have enough for Indiana.
- Miami makes a run to the sweet 16, but Marquette upsets them.
- Check out tomorrow's final four post to see who wins the matchup between Indiana and Marquette.
