For the first time since 2011, a future Louisville Cardinal will be playing in the McDonald's All-American Game. U of L signee VJ King was hit with the prestigious honor of being named to the East Team roster during the event's selection special Sunday night on ESPNU.
King, a five-star small forward from Fairfax, Va., will become the 24th Louisville player to participate in the event, and the first since Wayne Blackshear and Chane Behanan did five years ago. King is currently averaging 25.7 points per game for national power Paul VI.

There will be some more local flavor in this year's game, as long-time PRP coach Dale Mabrey will serve as the head coach for the West Team. The game will be played on March 30 at 9 p.m inside the United Center in Chicago.
