DURHAM, N.C. — The Duke men’s basketball team has finalized the remainder of its 2018-19 non-conference schedule, featuring eight regular-season home games and a match-up versus Texas Tech at Madison Square Garden in December.

Seven of Duke’s known or potential opponents on the non-league slate reached the NCAA Tournament last season, including Elite Eight participant Texas Tech, and Sweet 16 teams Kentucky and Gonzaga.

The marquee season-opening clash with the Wildcats in the State Farms Champions Classic in Indianapolis, along with a home game versus Indiana in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, had previously been announced. The Maui Jim Maui Invitational bracket, which includes an opening game versus San Diego State, was unveiled earlier this week.

Duke unwraps its home schedule on Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11, versus Army West Point. The alma mater of head coach Mike Krzyzewski, Army will be making its sixth visit to Cameron Indoor Stadium.

On Thursday, December 20, Madison Square Garden welcomes a pair of Elite Eight teams from last season in Duke and Texas Tech. No strangers to the World’s Most Famous Arena, the Blue Devils will be playing their 60th game at MSG where they are 37-22 all-time — 29-11 under Coach K.

Duke’s non-conference slate concludes on Saturday, February 2 when St. John’s visits Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils have a 16-7 edge in the all-time series with the Red Strom and have won nine of the last 11 meetings.

The remainder of Duke’s non-conference home schedule includes Eastern Michigan (Nov. 14), Stetson (Dec. 1), Hartford (Dec. 5), Yale (Dec. 8) and Princeton (Dec. 18).

As previously announced, Duke’s ACC schedule includes home-and-homes with North Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia and Wake Forest. Duke will only host Boston College, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Miami and NC State, while only playing road games against Florida State, Louisville, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.

Prior to the start of the regular season, the Blue Devils host Countdown to Craziness presented by Delta Air Lines on Friday, October 19 at 7 p.m., along with exhibition games against Virginia Union (Oct. 23, 7 p.m.) and Ferris State (Oct. 27, 4 p.m.).
