Kostas Mitoglou, a 6'10" 18 year old international from Greece, has reportedly committed to play basketball at Wake Forest under Danny Manning according to EuropeanProspects.com. Mitoglou is a member of the class of 2014 and will have the traditional four years in a Demon Deacon jersey beginning immediately. Currently a member of the Greek squad Aris BC, Mitoglou was expected to sign a professional contract with Aris when he turned 18 according to TheHoop.Blogspot.com but recently took a trip to the United States to visit colleges and was impressed with Wake Forest.
Mitiglou is generally regarded to be one of the top prospects in Greece and Manning will undoubtedly expect Mitiglou to help fill the void left by the recent transfer of Tyler Cavanaugh to George Washington. Kostas will be the only big man in the upcoming class of 2018, joining guards Mitchell Wilbekin and Rondale Watson. In nine games in the 2013 U-18 European Men's Championship, Mitiglou averaged 5.8 points and 7.0 rebounds in an average of 20.2 minutes per game.
