While our graph isn't perfect, it clearly shows how NC State maintained a lead in the game for over a 10 minute stretch before Duke's key run. At that point the Blue Devil offense exploded, and NC State's offense completely disappeared.
In our second graph, let's look at FG %...
Comparing to the graph of the game flow above, its interesting to note that the Blue Devil offense was not the key to this run. Duke's FG% increased steadily the entire second half while not making up any ground on the Wolfpack. The Duke run was keyed by their defense which saw NC State's FG % drop from 55% to 45%. Further, Duke's steal rate and rebounding percentages was unchanged during the run, meaning it simply forced NC State into more difficult shots or NC State simply missed.
