U of L football issued a statement Tuesday night to update Cardinal fans on the status of injured quarterback Will Gardner, and the update let us know that ... well it didn't really let us know much.
"Will Gardner continues to undergo evaluation and treatment on his lower extremity injury," the statement said. "We will monitor his symptoms and progression from treatments on a daily basis and see how he responds throughout the week."
This leads me to believe that we're probably not going to know anything definitive regarding Gardner's status until Friday at the earliest, unless he goes out and tries to practice on Wednesday or Thursday and simply can't do anything. Regardless, I think it's a safe assumption that Reggie Bonnafon is going to see the field against Wake Forest.
