According to an article in the Greensboro News & Record, ACC schools split 203 million dollars in 2011-12. The twelve schools averaged 16.9 million dollars per school which was up 38% from the previous year.
As a whole, the ACC reported $223.5 million in revenue in 2011-12 and $223.8 million in expenses, for a net loss of $303,295.
But it ended the year with $24.5 million in net assets.
The conference's biggest revenue generators were football television deals ($130.5 million), bowl games ($43.8 million), the NCAA men's basketball tournament ($17.7 million), the NCAA Grants-in-Aid Fund ($9.4 million) and the ACC basketball tournament ($5.1 million).
The ACC paid commissioner John Swofford $1.67 million during the 2011-12 year, a 14.1-percent increase from the $1.46 million he earned during the 2010-11 year.
