The Eagles had their largest home comeback win in program history, defeating the visiting Hurricanes 78-68. Miami jumped out to a fast 25-7 lead and led by as many as 19 with 8:38 left in the first half. Boston College held Miami to 28.6% shooting in the second half and outscored the Hurricanes in the second half, 49-27. Chad Venning scored 15 of his team-high 17 points in the first half for Boston College. Fred Payne had 15 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Josh Beadle added 13 points. For Miami, Matthew Cleveland scored a game-high 21 points, to go with six rebounds and three blocks. Lynn Kidd had 14 points and eight rebounds.
