Cal uses ground attack in 31-10 over San Diego State

The Golden Bears ran up and down the field against the Aztecs on their way to a 31-10 victory. Cal had 275 rushing yards in the game, on their way to 473 total yards. By comparison, the Golden Bears held San Diego State to 276 total yards. With running back Jaydn Ott missing the game, Jaivian Thomas got a majority of the carries for Cal and he ran for 169 yards on 17 carries. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza was 21-29 for 198 yards and two touchdowns, but another rush touchdown.
