CBSSportsline put together a ranking list of the best sports program’s in country. I like what CBSSportsline did here. They weighted the sports, giving the most points to football, then basketball, Women’s basketball and baseball. A last ranking went to a Wild Card which was the best ranking for one of the other sports.
This makes a lot of sense, and what it led to was Ohio State being named the top sport’s program for 2014-2015. New ACC member Louisville was second. Florida State, Duke and ACC partial member all finished in the top 10. The ACC and Big 10 had 4 schools each.
North Carolina, NC State and Virginia also made the top 25, and Miami, Clemson, and Georgia Tech were in the top 40. That’s 10 ACC schools in among the top 40 sports schools.
