Moore averaged a double double in conference play with 11.7 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. He finished the season with 88 dunks on the year and was 5th in the nation in field goal percentage at 69%. While he officially declared his eligibility for the draft on March 30th, it appears he has decided to hire an agent, meaning that he can no longer return to Wake Forest.
With Moore leaving, the Deacs will be thin in the front court next season, with just Olivier Sarr and Sunday Okeke as returning players down low. The Deacs also added a commit from Christian Lorng, who will likely see more minutes now that Doral is leaving. This should make getting a grad transfer with size and experience a priority for Danny Manning and the coaching staff.
Deacon fans will likely now turn their attention towards Bryant Crawford and his decision. As a reminder, Crawford has until May 30th to return for his senior year.
Finally, we’d like to wish good luck to Doral Moore in his future in the NBA. We look forward to seeing many Dorally Oops at the next level.
