While Duke topped a talented Auburn team in Cameron, the ACC as a whole went 1-5 on the 2nd day of the ACC-SEC Challenge.
No messing around, those were 2 embarassing nights in the ACC-SEC Challenge. The league went 2-14 in the challenge, and its clear it was only a challenge for the ACC. The only good news is the ACC did beat the SEC's top two teams with Clemson defeating Kentucky and Duke defeating Auburn. Beyond that, the rest of the league disappointed. You can bet with a league like the ACC, who needs to push for credibility to stay in the money making Power conferneces, will be fighting an uphill battle for the next few months. Come March, there will be 5-7 ACC teams on the bubble and the last 2 days will carry a lot of weight.
Conference play starts on Saturday, before holiday action, and the league may have run out of time to make any more statements for more bids.
