Duke defeated Bowie State in an exhibition on Saturday 103-67. The Blue Devils were led by Rodney Hood's 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Jabari Parker added 16 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds in the win. Amile Jefferson and Matt Jones rounded out double-figure scorers as they each scored 15 points in the win.
Duke showed off their faster paced offense as they tallied 79 possessions. As a comparison the 2012-13 team averaged 67 possessions per game. At least on Saturday, the Blue Devils were efficient posting an offensive efficiency of 130 in the victory. Rebounding has been a concern for some and Duke had no problems on the offensive glass, grabbing 45% of their own misses against an undersized Bowie State team. Duke grabbed 65% of their Bowie State's misses though which may be a cause for concern.
