The Yellow Jackets are home from Ireland and they defeated Georgia State, 35-12, in their home opener. Haynes King had another big performance, throwing for 275 yards and two touchdowns on 24-29 passing. King also ran for 27 yards and another touchdown on five carries. Running back Jamal Haynes ran the ball 17 times for 84 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Malik Rutherford caught seven passes for 131 yards, including a 52-yard touchdown.
