That was an enjoyable Saturday evening.
Louisville shot 50.7 percent from the field on its way to a 96-77 romp over Wake Forest Saturday night at the KFC Yum Center. The 96 points were the second-most points scored by the Cards this season.
Despite playing just 20 and 25 minutes, respectively, Quentin Snider and V.J. King led Louisville in scoring with 15 points apiece. Deng Adel added 14 points, and Dwayne Sutton came off the bench to chip in 13.
No U of L player logged more than King’s 25 minutes, but seven scored nine points or more.
Chaundee Brown’s 20 points led the way for Wake Forest, which actually held a 17-8 lead with seven minutes into the first half. Louisville responded with a 19-2 run that included 14 unanswered points. The Cardinals never trailed again as they improved to 6-2 in the ACC, good enough to sit alone in second place in the conference behind 9-0 Virginia. The Demon Deacons lost for the seventh straight time.
