Louisville will start the week as a 3-point favorite over NC State in Thursday night’s large ACC battle in Raleigh.
The 17th-ranked Cardinals and 24th-ranked Wolfpack will play the third game this season featuring multiple teams ranked in the top 25. Clemson won both of the other two, taking down Louisville and Virginia Tech on the road by double-digits.
NC State has won four straight since opening the season with a 35-28 loss to South Carolina. Included in that stretch is a 27-21 road victory over then-No. 12 Florida State.
U of L was a slight underdog when they last visited Carter-Finley in 2015. The Cardinals walked out of the stadium with a 20-13 victory on that Saturday.
Louisville is 4-0 as a favorite this season, but they’ve failed to cover the spread in three of those four games.
