The Cards will kick off the 2018 season in primetime.
The fine folks with the Camping World Kickoff game have announced that the Sept. 1 contest between Louisville and Alabama will begin under the lights at 8 p.m. and will be televised by ABC. The game will be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
This will mark the 19th time Louisville has played a game on ABC, but just the third time the Cards have appeared in a primetime game on the network. The other two have been U of L’s losses to Clemson the past two seasons.
There will be plenty of eyes on the Cards in a few months. Maybe that winds up being a great thing, maybe it doesn’t.
