A tough blow for U of L’s special teams.
Louisville football coach Bobby Petrino revealed during his Monday press conference that junior wide receiver DeVante Peete will miss the 2017 season because of injury.
Peete was expected to be a backup at WR this season, but has been a valuable player on special teams the last two years. He was voted as U of L’s special teams captain a season ago, and was named one the team’s overall captains for 2017 earlier this month.
A former four-star recruit, the 6’6 Peete has caught 16 passes for 236 yards and one touchdown in his U of L career thus far.
