After a 22-year absence, Mack Brown returns to Chapel Hill to once again take over as the Tar Heels' Head Coach. Brown was the Head Coach at North Carolina from 1988 to 1997 before leaving to coach Texas where he won a National Championship in 2005. In 10 seasons at UNC, Brown had a 69-46-1 record and went 3-2 in bowl games. The 1996 ACC Coach of the Year was known for his tough defenses in his first turn at UNC, and he hopes to bring that back in this second stint.
