27 - 14 UConn vs. North Carolina: The North Carolina Tar Heels had a tough day in Boston as they lost to the UConn Huskies at the Wasabi Fenway Bowl, 27-14. Early in the game, the Heels lost starting QB Jacolby Criswell to injury and freshman Michael Merdinger struggled to find his footing, completing 9 passes for 86 yards in the loss. Caleb Hood did much of the work for the Heels on offense, carrying the ball 11 times for 78 yards, and he even threw a touchdown pass to John Copenhaver in the 2nd half. Joe Fagnano completed 16-23 passes for 151 yards with 2 TD passes in the win for the Huskies.
