34 - 24 For the first time ever, the Pitt Panthers went on the road and beat the North Carolina Tar Heels, 34-24. Eli Holstein was once again magnificent, completing 25-42 passes for 381 passing yards with 3 touchdowns while running the ball 10 times for 76 yards and a score on the ground as well. Konata Mumpfield once again made spectacular catches on his way to a 111 receiving yard game. Desmond Reid rushed the ball 18 times for 55 yards and caught 11 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown. Jacolby Criswell completed 34-45 passes for 269 yards and a touchdown pass to John Copenhaver while Omarion Hampton rushed for 106 yards and a score for Mack Brown's club in the loss.
