The SMU Mustangs won a hard-fought game against the Virginia Cavaliers, 63-51 to capture their first-ever ACC conference victory. Kario Oquendo led the way with 19 points on 6-10 shooting to go along with 5 rebounds and Samet Yigitoglu poured in 16 points on 7-8 shooting with 6 rebounds and a steal in the win. Isaac McKneely paced the Cavaliers with 17 points with 3 rebounds and 3 assists in a losing effort.
