The three biggest ACC football questions of the week. Here we go for Week 2.

What if Florida State loses Memphis?

Florida State’s 0-2 start is well documented. Could you imagine if they start the year 0-3? It’s not out of the realm of possibility. Memphis came into the season ranked higher in most top to bottom college football polls than Georgia Tech and Boston College who the Noles lost to.

An 0-3 start would be beyond disastrous for the Noles. For Mike Norvell I think you basically undo all of last year’s success. QB D.J. Uiagalelei is probably getting benched unless he plays spectacularly in a loss. A Cal team on the horizon walked in front 85K+ at Auburn and left with a win. FSU’s playoff chances are toast, but go 0-3 and we could be looking at 3-5 win season.

Can Boston College pull off a massive upset of Missouri?

Boston College has looked really good winning at Florida State and then destroying Duquesne. Missouri has outscored their first two opponents 89-0, and has a tremendous chance to make the playoffs. Can Boston College somehow pull off this upset? When you have a good offensive line and a good QB, you always have a shot.

Boston College is going have to ride their top 10 rushing attack have a chance. They can’t get into a shootout. They don’t want a track meet. Win the time of possession, run for 125+ and BC will find itself in a 4 quarter game.

Can Virginia start the year 3-0?

Virginia is playing an under-the-radar game on Saturday night. The Hoos are hosting a decent but beatable Maryland team. Virginia is 2-0 after a 31-30 win at Wake Forest. Tony Elliot could match his win total in each of his first 2 years of 3 victories in game 3 of this year.

QB Anthony Colandrea has played extremely well in his first 2 games, and I think could absolutely beat Maryland to get to 3-0. Maryland is coming off a 27-24 home loss to Michigan State. Virginia hasn’t played a meaningful September game at any time under Elliot, but they are Saturday night. The feels like Virginia’s moment for something good to happen.
