UNC announced that it will be holding a charity exhibition fundraiser in November, with three former Tar Heels in attendance.

Bad news came for the Tar Heels Monday afternoon, but later some good news was announced that should help to brighten the day.

GoHeels.com reported that the Heels will host three other in-state schools, UNCG, UNC-Wilmington, and ECU, in a charity fundraiser. The fundraiser will take place on November 5th, and will be held in the Dean E. Smith Center.

Per Brant Wilkerson-New of the News and Record, the event will begin at 3 PM. It will be a jamboree type of event, with all four schools playing against each other at some point. Here is Wilkerson-New’s tweet that came with a press release from the university.

This will be a homecoming of sorts for some in attendance. Former UNC assistant C.B. McGrath will be returning to Chapel Hill with his UNCW Seahawks. Along with McGrath, Wes Miller, and Jeff Lebo, former Tar Heels turned head coaches, will be returning home with their new schools, UNCG and ECU.

The schools are doing this to raise money for Governor Cooper’s Disaster Relief Fund. The fund is used in the aftermath of Hurricanes and other natural disasters.

As the tweet says, tickets are $20, and will be on sale beginning on Wednesday. There will likely be a nice crowd for this event, due to the fundraising element, so make sure to purchase tickets early.

To get your tickets, especially if you are coming from out of town, visit GoHeels.com. If you are in town, you can get your tickets at the UNC Ticket Office./
