Wake Forest took care of business in their season opener, defeating Old Dominion 42-10. The Demon Deacons had a balanced offense with 184 passing yards and 164 rushing yards. Running back Christian Beal-Smith ran the ball 11 times for 74 yards and a touchdown. Sam Hartman was 18-27 for 184 yards and three touchdowns passing. Defensive back Ja'Sir Taylor had a special game with an interception and a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
