The Orange currently have three open scholarships.
Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports is reporting that South Florida graduate transfer Geno Thorpe is considering Syracuse as a destination.

Thorpe, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, started his college career at Penn State before transferring to South Florida after his sophomore year.
In his freshman year at Penn State, Thorpe averaged 3.2 points in 11.8 minutes per game. His numbers improved the following year, as he averaged over eight points in 24.3 minutes.
After sitting out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer rules, Thorpe had an impressive year with the Bulls. He played 33 minutes per game, and averaged over 15 points. He shot 37.5 percent from 3-point range, but took just under four attempts per game. His free-throw percentage is just under 85 percent.
Thorpe is originally from Pittsburgh.
Out of high school, Thorpe picked Penn State over Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall, Kansas State and Rutgers, among others, according to his South Florida bio.
Last year, Syracuse added John Gillon and Andrew White to its roster, and both were major contributors for the Orange all season long.
Thorpe is also considering Pittsburgh, UMass and Seton Hall, according to Rothstein. He will visit Pittsburgh on Monday and Seton Hall on Tuesday.
