Cam Hildreth was the second leading scorer for WF with 18 points and 6 dimes. Wake had a better than 2:1 assist to turnover ratio with 17 assists to 8 turnovers on the night.

The Tar Heels became bowl-eligible with their 31-24 win over the Demon Deacons. The star of the game was once again North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton. Hampton ran the ball 35 times for 244 yards, both career highs, and a touchdown with 16 receiving yards. Quarterback Jacolby Criswell completed 14 of 22 passes for 132 yards and a touchdown, plus he ran in another touchdown. For Wake Forest, running back Demon Claiborne had 28 receiving yards, 95 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns.
