Purdue vs. NC State: The #13 Boilermakers defeated the Wolfpack, 71-61 in the Rady Children's Invitational in San Deigo. Jayden Taylor was NC State's leading scorer with 15 points, to go with five rebounds and four assists. Brandon Huntley-Hatfield finished the game with 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and a steal. For Wake Forest, Trey Kaufman-Renn scored a game-high 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out two assists.

Georgia Tech survives 30-29 over NC State

The Yellow Jackets survived a wild fourth quarter to defeat the Wolfpack 30-29, and secure their second straight winning season. There were just 23 total points scored in the first three quarters and NC State and Georgia Tech combined to score 36 points in the final 15 minutes. NC State running back Hollywood Smothers scored a touchdown with 1:30 left to give the Wolfpack their first lead of the game, and then Georgia Tech quarterback Aaron Philo led a 75-yard drive and scored the winning touchdown with 22 seconds left in the game. NC State had a chance to win in the final seconds, but their 58-yard field goal went wide. Philo completed 19-33 passes for 265 yards and ran seven times for 57 yards and a touchdown. NC State quarterback CJ Bailey threw for 147 yards and ran for 83 yards and three touchdowns.
