The Player of the Year for the Big Ten Conference has always been a good debate as there are always several top candidates dropping amazing performances in every play.
Johnny Davis of Wisconsin is one of them, Kofi Cockburn of Illinois is another, Iowa's Keegan Murray, Michigan's Hunter Dickson, and Ohio State's E.J. Liddell are some of the few candidates of the Big Ten basketball conference battling for the award at the end of the season which is backed jeux de casino en ligne.
Liddell was questioned by Mike Hall of Big Ten Network on who he believes the winner of the award.
“Me,” Liddell said On the Bench's recent edition. “I just don’t think people affect the game as well as I do, do the things that I do. I’m a team player. I don’t shoot as many shots as a lot of other guys, but I’m efficient when it comes to it. But I just think just affecting the game in different ways I don’t see anyone doing it like me.”
In 22 games played this season, Liddell was able to average 19.9 points per game, 7.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.5 blocks. He currently sits fourth in the conference for scoring and second for blocks.
The 6-foot-7 star, however, has to face fierce competition before he can win the award. Currently, Murray is the Big Ten's leading scorer with 23.3 points per game and he also sits in the third position in the conference for rebounds with 8.4 per game. Cockburn, on the other hand, has been impressive this season as he is averaging 21.5 points per game, which makes him second in the Big Ten and leads in rebound after pulling a league-best of 11.4 rebounds per game.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are situated at No. 18 in the country with a record of 16-6 this season. In their 77-66 victory against the then-No. 1 Duke Blue Devils, Liddell dropped an impressive performance when it was needed as he finished the game with 14 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and three blocks.
He made 5-of-10 from the floor and 1-of-3 for the three-pointers, he is a wolf winner and his stats is only just rising.
When asked about the win against the Blue Devils and what the experience felt like, he said: "The best part was the reaction from like the fans because the place was loud, it was rocking. I don't think I've ever been anywhere louder than that. The fans rushed the floor and I was just excited really. My mom and dad were here to see that. My mom was still nervous after the game. Like she was still shaking because she was so scared about what was about to happen. But it was just a great time, just seeing everybody's reactions."
