Pitt football coach Paul Chryst has been lured away to Wisconsin as reported by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
As JD reported earlier tonight, Paul Chryst to Wisconsin rumors were intensifying mightily. Well shortly after his story ran several news outlets have reported that Chryst is departing the Panthers program to head back to Madison. The news first broke of the hiring from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
Update: Paul Chryst set to be next Wisconsin Badgers head coach http://t.co/Z6YMYKl1Ej

In three seasons with the Panthers, Chryst has a 19-19 record and has coached the Panthers to three bowl games (Armed Forces Bowl Vs. Houston on January 2). Chryst is 1-1 in those bowl games and may not get a chance to coach in a third game with the Panthers.
It remains to be seen if he will stay through the remainder of the season, this is highly unlikely though.
The only thing that has been consistent with the Panthers football coaches lately has been the inconsistency in which they remain with the program. Chryst is the fifth head coach in as many years.
Let the games begin in what is hopefully the last head coach search for the Panthers for years to come.
Cardiac Hill will have more on this story as it unfolds, be sure to check back for updates.
