If you are an ACC fan who loves listening to sports talk radio and wants to know the latest on what’s going on in the conference, tune into SiriusXM ACC Radio, found on channel 371. This 24/7 audio channel dedicated to ACC sports launched last month.
The weekday channel lineup provides in-depth analysis of ACC games, news, and sports talk topics. “ACC This Morning,” hosted by Mark Packer and Wes Durham, airs live every weekday morning from 7-10am. These guys have covered the ACC for years across multiple platforms. Their knowledge of the league is off the charts! The show is informative, fun to listen to, the analysis is very in-depth and of high caliber, and the interviews they have with their guests are riveting for the listener. If you missed the interviews with Notre Dame women’s basketball coach Muffet McGraw on winning the National Championship, ACC Commissioner John Swofford on the city of Charlotte, NC hosting the ACC football championship game through the year 2030, or North Carolina State offensive coordinator Eliah Drinkwitz on their spring football game, you missed something. But don’t despair. The show is repeated up until 3pm daily, and you can also access the show by using the ONDEMAND feature. You won’t miss any interviews or shows! You can still listen if you miss it live.
The fun continues on “ACC Today,” hosted by Chris Spatola and Jac Collingsworth, which airs every weekday from 3-6pm. Interesting conversation, solid analysis and in-depth interviews with ACC beat writers, coaches, play-by-play announcers, and NFL draft prospects keep the listeners engaged. Topics discussed can range from Kyrie Irving’s injury and what it means to the Celtics and his time with Duke to what its like to party with professional athletes. They do a great job of discussing and analyzing sports from various perspectives, both on the college and professional level. They also introduced a new segment this past Friday where they’ll invite an “ACC Celebrity” to do a ‘celebrity top 5.’ This week’s guest was Duke’s Wendell Carter, and he ranked the top 5 rappers with the guys, which was entertaining.
Both shows certainly keep ACC fans informed on what’s going on in the conference in a business-like, yet fun and entertaining way. They’re certainly off to a great start.
