Crazier things have happened...
Last year, the Syracuse Orange were 23 point underdogs when they upset Virginia Tech in the Carrier Dome.
This week at the LSU Tigers, they will have a similar opportunity for a monumental upset, this time on the road.
Las Vegas tossed out the odds on SU’s first road game and the 23.5-point gap does not look great for Syracuse, but it’s no 50-point spread. Factors in the decision include the recent LSU loss to Mississippi State, Syracuse’s record so far, the game being in Death Valley and of course the big difference in talent.
The Tigers dropped from No. 12 to No. 25 after their loss, so just by the skin of their teeth they are the first top 25 opponent SU will face.
So while the answer to “Who’s House” isn’t quite as fun this time... SU has 23 (and a half) points to make up and nothing to lose... time to get to work.
