Virginia's loss to Michigan State wraps up the season for ACC basketball teams. Virginia had their chances against a really good Michigan State team. In fact, there were moments last night Virginia was the better team. There were also moments where Virginia lost focus on offense and settled for too many jumpshots. Michigan State started out playing better and played better for a 4 minute stretch late in the game and it was too much for Virginia to overcome. Michigan State moves on to face Connecticut on Sunday.
Incoming ACC member Louisville also lost on Friday night. The Cardinals matched up with their in-state rival Kentucky. Despite leading most of the way, the Kentucky freshmen made plays late that Louisville wasn't able to. Kentucky moves on to face Michigan on Sunday.
