The elite wing had once been seen as a strong Arizona lean, some believing that he had already verbally agreed to play for the Wildcats.
However, the recent news of NCAA scandal that alleges mass corruption, bribery and wire fraud involving illegal dealings with shoe companies has all but eliminated Arizona from Little’s recruitment.
Initial reports suggested that Little was a recruit mentioned in the FBI investigation. Little’s family released a statement, though, denying that any school had offered them cash in return for his commitment.
With Arizona seemingly on the outside looking in, finalists North Carolina and Georgia Tech now appear to be on the forefront of Little’s recruitment.
The 6-foot-7, 205-pound wing averaged 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists per game as a junior, leading Orlando Christian Prep to the Class 3A state title.
Little is the No. 9 prospect in the 2018 class according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s ranked fourth among small forwards in the class and the No. 2 player in the state of Florida.
The 247Sports Crystal Ball currently projects North Carolina as the odds-on favorite to land Little, collecting 100 percent of predictions. A number of those predictions have come within the last few days, as the Tar Heels have begun to pick up momentum in Little’s recruitment.
