The four-star stretch forward committed to the Fighting Irish on Wednesday.
Mike Brey got a nice recruiting win this morning when four-star 2018 basketball recruit Nate Laszewski committed to Notre Dame over Wake Forest and North Carolina.

While this does not come as a shock after Wake Forest landed top 70 recruit Isaiah Mucius last Monday, there was some hope that the Deacs would be able to land Laszewski as a stretch four to play alongside Chaundee Brown, Jaylen Hoard, and Mucius.
Laszewski has favored the Fighting Irish for a while, but after a visit to Wake Forest and North Carolina it appeared that he may have been considering all three. There were a couple of Crystal Ball changes to North Carolina, but in the end he decided to go to the Fighting Irish.
There was some discussion that he wanted to attend a Catholic school, and obviously Notre Dame is about as Catholic as you are going to get.
Wake Forest currently sits in 7th place nationally for the 2018 recruiting class, and this commitment for the Fighting Irish will assuredly push it into the top five. The Deacs are second in the ACC behind Notre Dame.
Following the commitment of Mike Devoe to Georgia Tech over Wake Forest and Florida on Saturday, Danny Manning is likely still seeking a point guard to round out the 2018 class. He will have a very good chance at getting that final piece to the puzzle if he can lockdown top 30 recruit Ayo Dosunmu after his official visit this weekend.
