Several locations are releasing odds on Heisman candidates and the ACC is represented.
We'll be using the odds that Phil Steele shared on his site yesterday, and while we can't offer an online casino bonus, we can give you some information about the ACC players listed.
Kelly Bryant, Clemson
The Clemson QB completed 66% of his passes and threw for 2800 yards and should be the key to the Tigers offense provided he can stay healthy.
Cam Akers, Florida State
The electric FSU running back rushed for 1025 yards as a freshmen and can take his game to the next level if he can get more involved in the passing attack is his sophomore season.
Deondre Francois, Florida State
Francois was thrown to the wolves in his freshman season and played well, but the sophomore season ended early with an injury. The Seminole QB is back healthy and is primed for a big season.
Travis Etienne, Clemson
Etienne rushed for over 700 yards in his freshman campaign, averaging 7.2 yards per rush. Etienne will need more touches this season if he'll get real Heisman consideration.
Dexter Lawrence, Clemson
Dexter Lawrence gets a ton of attention from opposing O Lines, and after putting up 6.5 sacks in his freshman season it was deserved. Lawrence posted just 2 sacks in his sophomore year and is looking for bigger numbers this year. The other question is, can a D-Lineman really be considered a Heisman candidate?
Ryan Finley, NC State
We finally depart from Clemson and FSU players and turn our attention to NC State QB Ryan Finley. Finley threw for over 3500 yards while connecting on 65% of his passes in his junior season for the Wolfpack. Finley's Heisman candidacy is built not only on his personal success but NC State putting together a magical season.
Trevor Lawrence, Clemson
While Kelly Bryant is the returning QB, Lawrence is the guy that the fans are excited about. Swinney has already committed to playing 2 QBs and Lawrence could claim more and more snaps if he can meet expectations.
AJ Dillon, Boston College
Dillon put up a monster freshman season rushing for 1589 yards, averaging 5.3 yards per rush and scored 14 TDs. At 6-1, 240 pounds, Dillon is a load for opposing defenses to handle.
