Wake Forest may have had a home game, but they traveled to pick up a 70-69 win over NC State. The Pack led for a good part of the game, but foul trouble for TJ Warren gave Wake their chance and a late layup by Codi Miller-McIntyre gave Wake the win. That layup provided the controversy though as it appeared Miller-McIntyre took 3 or even 4 steps on the game-winning shot. Nonetheless, the win moves Wake to 2-2 in conference play and drops NC State to 1-3.
Elsewhere in the ACC, Maryland found themselves down at home at half to Notre Dame but turned things around and picked up a 74-66 win at home over Notre Dame. Clemson handled their business and won in Blacksburg 56-49 while FSU opened things up in the final minutes and won at Miami 63-53. With their respective victories, FSU and Clemson find themselves tied for 3rd in the ACC standings at 3-1.
