Notre Dame's victory on Sunday over Virginia Tech capped off an interesting weekend of basketball around the ACC. Outside of Clemson (4-1) and UNC's (1-3) records I can't say anyone necessarily surprises me much. Syracuse earned their right as the 1st place team in the ACC with a close win over Pitt in the Carrier Dome. Duke may have turned the proverbial corner with their 35 point win over NC State, although let's wait and see how they play on the road. Virginia continued their dominance over the Seminoles, and things got a little chippy between the two teams late. Wouldn't that be a fascinating matchup on Friday in the ACC Tournament?
Tonight, we have two ACC games with Virginia hosting UNC and NC State hosting Maryland. The matchup seems like a tough one for UNC and Virginia is playing as well as anyone in the ACC at the moment. Maryland travels to NC State, and the big question is how the Pack will bounce back after the loss at Duke?
