On Tuesday night, Georgia Tech picked up the big win of the night topping VCU by 13 points. Georgia Tech has quietly put together a pretty solid non-conference resume. Brian Gregory's team will need to take care of business against lesser teams through December and pick up a win against rival Georgia. If they do that, and find 10 wins in conference play, the Yellow Jackets should be able to earn a NCAA tourney bid.
We got our first look at Duke without Amile Jefferson as the Blue Devils rolled past Georgia Southern, Brandon Ingram slid to the 4 and Luke Kennard got the nod in the starting lineup. Duke went just 7 deep though while the game mattered. With such limited depth, Marshall Plumlee is really going to have to avoid foul trouble.
Wake Forest picked up a win over UNCG thanks to a strong finish. Other than the win, the good news of the night for the Deacs was the return of Codi Miller-McIntyre.
Clemson also picked up a blowout win over Presbyterian in which the Tigers showed balanced scoring.
Tonight, 4 games on the ACC basketball schedule. FSU faces off with Mississippi State, UNC hosts Tulane, Louisville gets another cupcake in Kennesaw State, and NC State hosts a sneaky good High Point team.
