The ACC/B1G Challenge begins tonight, and its an event I always enjoy. Both conferences gain great exposure, and its a chance for me to familiarize myself with some of the ACC teams I haven't had a chance to watch yet this season. The marquee matchups of the night are Indiana/Syracuse and Duke/Michigan. The good news for the ACC is that they are hosting both matchups. The sneaky good matchups are Notre Dame/Iowa and FSU/Minnesota. If the ACC could steal one of those two games, they'll have a chance to split or win night one.

The morning linkfest typically focuses on basketball, but turning attention to football for a second. Jim Grobe resigned as Wake's football coach yesterday which surprised me. Grobe's success at Wake is well-known, and mirrored in a lot of ways by what David Cutcliffe is doing at Duke this season. It seems as though Grobe is being forced out and if that is the case, Ron Wellman's seat just got a lot hotter in Winston-Salem. Here's more from former Wake QB, Riley Skinner.
