Miami faced Savannah State on Monday night on the heels of a loss to Green Bay over the weekend. Savannah State has had their struggles this year, notably losing to Louisville 88-39 earlier in the season, so the Canes had plenty of margin for error. Miami defeated Savannah State 70-39 as the Canes were led by Angel Rodriguez with 17 points on the night. It was good to see Larranaga was able to keep one game's flaws from spilling over to the next. Miami has the next 10 days off before facing a sneaky Eastern Kentucky team.
Tonight, the marquee matchup is Louisville hosting Indiana on ESPN at 9 ET. The Hoosiers are ranked #49 in the NCAAGameSim.com rankings and #50 over at Kenpom.com. In other words, this Hoosiers team is a bit different than a couple years ago when they were top 10 in the polls all season. In looking at our Game Preview, its easy to see Louisville's strength has been on defense while Indiana's has been on offense. Game Sim is predicting a 6 point Louisville win, but getting 6 points is no cake-walk. The Cardinals better be ready to play.
Notre Dame is also in action, facing Mount St. Mary's. This isn't a great season for the Gaels, as they are among the lowest ranked D1 teams this season.
