Brice Johnson may have just grabbed another offensive rebound. Johnson was a big part of a Monday that was a highly entertaining night of ACC basketball.
Brice Johnson and UNC kicked things off with a 106-90 win over FSU in Tallahassee. Johnson finished the night with 39 points, 23 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks in an incredibly dominant performance. Not to be outdone, Marcus Paige added a quiet 30 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds. The game itself was a fun one that featured two teams taking care of the ball and getting up and down the floor.
In the late game, Virginia Tech got a big 70-68 win over rival Virginia. The Hokies made plays and had answers for everything Virginia could throw at them. After Virginia Tech had a 5 point lead at halftime, London Perrantes opened up the second half with a barrage of 3's which saw Virginia take a lead quickly. Not to be outdone, Zach LeDay knocked down a few 3's to answer. LeDay had hit just 2 3's all season long prior to last night. The game went back and forth for most of the 2nd half before Virginia Tech took a 9 point lead late and held on, despite Virginia having a chance on their final possession.
Tonight, Clemson travels to Syracuse. The Tigers are looking to start conference play 2-1, while Syracuse is trying to avoid an 0-3 start. Check out predictions, links, and more below.
