The story on Saturday was likely Pitt's double OT victory over Virginia Tech. The Panthers won despite an ugly performance, but the Hokies were just a bit uglier in defeat. Lamar Patterson had just 5 points on the night but the backcourt of Cameron Wright and James Robinson picked up his slack. Elsewhere in the league, Virginia keeps on rolling with another double-digit victory to move to 10-1 in conference play. Duke won at BC, thanks to a dominant performance from Jabari Parker. NC State and UNC picked up a nice road conference wins at Miami and Notre Dame, respectively. Finally, Maryland got a little revenge on the Seminoles with a 12 point win in College Park.
Tonight, Syracuse hosts Clemson in what may be a must-win for Clemson to have any hopes of a NCAA tournament bid. Syracuse has certainly let less talented teams play with them in the Carrier Dome, most recently Notre Dame. My big question is whether or not Clemson will simply be able to score. Check that one out at 6 PM on ESPNU.
