Several ACC schools are looking for help on the "transfer market". It is a market after all, isn't it?
Georgia Tech didn't have to look very far to add Virginia Tech's Adam Smith as a graduate transfer. It's becoming oddly common to see a player transfer within the conference now. Due to graduate transfer rules, the sharpshooting Smith will be eligible immediately.
Now, the Yellow Jackets are hoping to add Florida transfer Eli Carter. Carter averaged 8.8 points per game last season and would be the 5th transfer for Brian Gregory's team if he were to land there. Carter is also looking at NC State and Clemson amonst several other non-ACC schools.
Another potential ACC newcomer could be Seton Hall's Sterling Gibbs. Gibbs averaged over 16 points per game last season while making 44% of 3 point attempts. Gibbs has both North Carolina State and Pittsburgh on his list of schools.
Speaking of Pitt, Jamie Dixon's squad recently added Rafael Maia to the roster. Maia played for Brown and led the Ivy League in rebounding.
