Pitt has been the underdog each of the past two weekends and while the Panthers' next opponent shouldn't be as difficult, they're still not expected to win.
Opening odds for the Pitt-Georgia Tech game this weekend had the Panthers as 7 1/2-point underdogs and that's where the line currently is as well.
I do think the game is one that Pitt can win. Georgia Tech is a good team and they also get the game at home, so seeing them favored was expected. But the Panthers' weak pass defense shouldn't be exposed nearly as much here as Georgia Tech barely throws the ball. If they can make tackles and keep Georgia Tech's running game under wraps (a big if), they'll have a shot.
What do you think of the line? Too big, too small, or about right?
