Athlon has more preseason stuff for us to digest - this time, they're predicting records for all of the ACC teams.
The site has Pitt at 6-6 and ranking fifth in the ACC's Coastal Division. And ICYMI, here was Athlon's preseason look at the Panthers.
I haven't taken a look at things well enough to give my season prediction for the Panthers yet, but 6-6 sounds about right. I think I said elsewhere that I could see them as bad as 5-7 and as good as 8-4 if everything broke right. But 6-6 or 7-5 is much more believable for me at this point.
In the Coastal, Athlon expects Pitt to have a hard time. The only teams they rank ahead of are Virginia and Duke and the Panthers are at least two games behind all of the teams in front of them in Athlon's picks.
And for what it's worth, they chose Clemson and Miami to win their divisions in the conference.
